Two of the biggest things I hear about my opponent are "Where is he?" and "When I could finally talk with him, he was (pick one) rude/ ignored me/didn't seem to care." He's a part of District 23 in name only. He's on the taxpayers' payroll but he's not working for us. This is unacceptable.
Through this campaign I've demonstrated my interest in what people think about 1) where we are and 2) where they want to see the state go. In a few short months, my campaign has hosted more public events than my opponent has in six years.
I've been a part of the community my whole life. I raised children here, volunteer here and enjoy getting out to the many events and happenings. I'm not going anywhere. Serving as State Rep won't be a stepping stone on to something "bigger". It'll be an honor and a mission to improve lives.
The freedom to send your child to a great public school. The freedom to make private healthcare decisions. The freedom to breath clean air and drink safe water. And the list goes on.
My opponent and his Statehouse supermajority friends have been attacking what it means to be an independent, free-thinking Hoosier. While they talk a good talk about family values and personal choice, their votes create anything but.
If you'll send me to the Statehouse, I will:
Too often Indiana ranks at the bottom of the good lists and at the top of the bad lists. Hoosier pregnant women are more likely to die here than in 47 other states. Because of the Statehouse attacks on public education, teachers are leaving the state in record numbers. We rank among the worst states for opioid deaths. And here's more:
When we work together, we can take on anything. Our state has been moving backwards. We don't have to accept this and I pledge to do all I can to get us going in a positive direction.
